Enunciation

mariekempteaching

Our focus on Saturday was Enunciation. We've already looked at Projection, but what use is speaking loudly if you cannot be understood? Our vocal warm-up looked at various tongue twisters. Here are some of our favourites. Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers

A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked

If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers

Where’s the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?

Betty Botter bought some butter

But she said the butter’s bitter

If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter

But a bit of better butter will make my batter better

So ‘twas better Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter I wish to wash my Irish wristwatch The sixth sick sheik's sixth sheep's sick.

Round the rough and rugged rock the ragged rascal rudely ran. Big black bug bit a big black bear and the big black bear bled black blood. The tip of the tongue, the teeth and the lips. Which is your favourite?
